Fr Kamil J. Zylczynski SChr

Rector of Divine Mercy Shrine Keysborough/Melbourne.

The Divine Mercy Shrine Polish Church was built by the Polish community in Keysborough, a suburb of Melbourne. It has become a house of prayer not only for our Polish Community, but also a large group of residents of Australia, coming from many countries of the world. The Divine Mercy Shrine plays a special role in the Archdiocese of Melbourne, as it was the meeting place as announced by Pope Francis for the year of Mercy, and then in 2018 the Apostolic Congress of Divine Mercy Australia and Oceania was held here for the second time. Its fruit is an initiative, which we called "Australia and Oceania pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy." As Poles, we feel especially obliged to continue the work of St. Faustina and St. John Paul II in the proclamation of Divine Mercy to the modern world.

We invite you to join with us in prayer.

Fr. Wieslaw Wójcik, TChr.

Director of the Institute for Pastoral Care in Emigration and Moderator of the Movement of Apostolic Emigration in Poznań - Poland

The Institute for Pastoral Care in Emigration at the Society of Christ in Poznań, expresses its support and solidarity in the initiative of praying with the group of the Divine Mercy on a special day of September 13, 2019. This idea arose in the Prayer Team at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Keysborough. It is the current response to the appeal of St. John Paul II - the father of Polish emigration, that the Spark from Poland would ignite the whole world - that the message of God's merciful love ... would reach all the inhabitants of the earth and fill their hearts with hope. Modern humanity needs trust in God's action and openness to His boundless mercy. I would like to express my joy that this prayer initiative "Australia and Oceania is praying with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy" flows from this Polish church in Melbourne, where pastoral ministry is exercised by priests from the Society of Christ for Poles living on emigration abroad. At the same time, I encourage the entire Team, that you would not cease to proclaim the truth about Merciful Jesus, who is the Way to our Father in heaven.

In the coming days, I will inform the Polish-language pastoral ministry around the world about your action and we will join in the spirit of unity in this great call to God for those intentions that you set for this day at your Sanctuary.

Australia and Oceania pray with the words of the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy.

The Society of Sisters of the Mother of Divine Mercy has welcomed the initiative originated in Australia, calling people in this part of the world to pray by chanting the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy. The dates of the collective prayer have been designated to be 18th May and 13th September 2019. The Bishops of several municipalities named the intentions of these prayers. We live in times when individual people and nations of our world experience various threats to their physical and spiritual existence. This is why this payer is so important.
